Millet Crackers Recipe

Ingredients
- 35 gm / 2 tbsp Mastercook Jowar Flour
- 35 gm / 2 tbsp Mastercook Bajra Flour
- 35 gm / 2 tbsp Vijay Gold Ragi Flour
- • 70 gm / ½ cup Mastercook Chakki Atta
- 5 gm / 1 tsp Salt
- 20 gm / 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
- 3 gm / 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
- 1 gm / ¼ tsp Red Chili powder
- ½ gm / 1/8 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 2 gm / ½ tsp Garam Masala
- 130 ml / ½ cup Water
Procedure
- In a large bowl, add all the flours along with the salt and powdered spices.
- Make a well in the center and add the oil. Mix gently and once most of the oil is mixed with the flour, begin adding the water.
- Knead a soft dough by adding water as required.
- Once the dough is kneaded, cover and rest in the fridge for 15-20 minutes.
- Once chilled, roll out the dough to 5 mm thickness.
- Cut the dough into ½ inch by 2 inch pieces and lay on a baking tray.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180 C / 350 F / Gas Mark 5 for about 20-30 minutes.
Tips for Cooking
- This recipe is possible with 100% millet flour, but the dough is quite difficult to roll and shape. The addition of wheat flour is to help in rolling and shaping.
- You can add a paste of onion and green chilies as well if you prefer to enhance the flavor.
- These cookies have to be baked quite crisp to prolong their shelf life.
