Servings - 10
Difficulty Level - Easy
Preparation Time - 1 Hour
Cook Time - 30 Mins

Ingredients

  • 35 gm / 2 tbsp Mastercook Jowar Flour
  • 35 gm / 2 tbsp Mastercook Bajra Flour
  • 35 gm / 2 tbsp Vijay Gold Ragi Flour
  • • 70 gm / ½ cup Mastercook Chakki Atta
  • 5 gm / 1 tsp Salt
  • 20 gm / 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 3 gm / 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 gm / ¼ tsp Red Chili powder
  • ½ gm / 1/8 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 2 gm / ½ tsp Garam Masala
  • 130 ml / ½ cup Water

Procedure

  • In a large bowl, add all the flours along with the salt and powdered spices.
  • Make a well in the center and add the oil. Mix gently and once most of the oil is mixed with the flour, begin adding the water.
  • Knead a soft dough by adding water as required.
  • Once the dough is kneaded, cover and rest in the fridge for 15-20 minutes.
  • Once chilled, roll out the dough to 5 mm thickness.
  • Cut the dough into ½ inch by 2 inch pieces and lay on a baking tray.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 180 C / 350 F / Gas Mark 5 for about 20-30 minutes.

Tips for Cooking

  • This recipe is possible with 100% millet flour, but the dough is quite difficult to roll and shape. The addition of wheat flour is to help in rolling and shaping.
  • You can add a paste of onion and green chilies as well if you prefer to enhance the flavor.
  • These cookies have to be baked quite crisp to prolong their shelf life.
