Broken Wheat / Dalia Lapsi (Mastercook Dalia)

Ingredients

  • Broken Wheat - 1 cup
  • Water
  • Urad dal - 2 tbsp
  • Fenugreek - 1 tbsp
  • Salt
  • Rice Flour - 2 tbsp

Procedure

  • Soak the broken wheat, and urad dal for 2 to 3 hours. Soak the fenugreek overnight.
  • Blend the fenugreek into a fine paste followed by urad dal. Then add soaked dalia/broken wheat along with salt and blend them into a fine paste.
  • Now mix them well with some water and adjust the consistency. Ferment it for 6 to 8 hours.
  • Pour the batter into a dosa tawa and make a crispy dosa. Sprinkle any podi or onions and serve with sambar.
